Elianet María Crespo, Anaicel León, and Yoikel Daniel Goicochea received ranking classification and will represent Cuba in taekwondo at the Asunción 2025 Pan American Junior Games.
The information was ratified by America Taekwondo to Iván Fernández Quirós, seventh Dan and president of the Cuban Taekwondo Federation.
Elianet María, from Holguín, will arrive at the event with a privileged status in the +67 kg category. She is ranked third in the continental ranking and has shown a constant evolution in each bout.
Havana's Yoikel Daniel, who weighs +80 kg, could have his greatest strength be his fighting style, which combines power and intelligence in attacks. He is currently ranked fifth in his category.
Seventh in the 67 kg category, Anaicel, from Pinar del Rio, also has her proven progression in terms of recent results as a note in favor.
The Cuban bet is no coincidence. In recent years, taekwondo on the island has been able to reinvent itself, with generations that have been climbing positions and consolidating a competitive style.
