Cuba reports 60 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Aug 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported today that 60 people were detected with Covid-19, nine patients are in intensive care and no one died as a result of the disease in the last hours.

The Molecular Biology laboratories analyzed 1,684 samples to discover the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, according to the Public Health Ministry.

Of the 419 active cases in the archipelago, 410 have a stable clinical evolution, while nine patients are being treated in intensive care, one in critical condition and eight in serious condition.

With the 88 clinical discharges granted, the total number of recovered patients reached 1,99,254 and since the beginning of the pandemic here, with 1,108,261 cases reported since March 2020.

According to the official report, there are no deaths on the day as a result of the pandemic and the death toll remains at 8,529.
