Cuba reports 1,221 new Covid-19 patients and 14 deaths

Cuba has diagnosed 133,053 patients with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19, since March 2020, after reporting 1,221 cases on Sunday.
According to the national director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Dr. Francisco Duran, 14 people died of Covid-19 on Saturday, so Cuba's total death toll rose to 877.
In his daily press briefing on television, Dr. Duran pointed out that 28,817 patients are in isolation, including 4,377 suspected cases, 17,556 people under epidemiological surveillance and 6,884 active patients who have the coronavirus.
In order to detect the virus, all molecular biology labs in Cuba performed 22,430 PCR tests in real time, totaling 4,150,241 since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
