Cuba Reduces Pre-selection for U-12 Baseball World Cup

Today, the National Baseball Commission announced the reduction to 20 players of its pre-selection for the U-12 World Cup, which will be held in the city of Taina, in Chinese Taipei, from July 23 to August 3.
The group, which will be led by Cuban mentor Raul Rodriguez, will continue its preparation and later the final number of 18 players who will attend the demanding competition will be announced.
Cuba's debut is scheduled for July 24 against the host team in Group A, which also includes Mexico, Australia, Germany, and Japan.
The Taiwanese have won two of the five previous editions, second only to the United States, which has won the other three.
Meanwhile, in Group B were the representatives of the Czech Republic, South Korea, Panama, South Africa, the Dominican Republic, and the United States.

Catchers: Marcos Vera Mcdonal (HAB), Yuceider Torres (MAY), and Ronney Noa (VCL).
Infielders: Yordan Reyes (VCL), Denis Zamora (VCL), Diangel Prieto (VCL), Jordan Osegueira (HAB), and Yeison Penton (HAB).
Outfielders: Iván Castillo (HAB), Maikol Lluch (HAB), Sean García (CAV), Gabriel Sarría (CFG), and Yeison Girón (SCU).
Pitchers: Yan Carlos Ramírez (MTZ), José Padrón (HAB), Yasniel Garay (HAB), Alex Gómez (SSP), Yuniel Zamora (GRA), Mauro Álvarez (GRA), and Xavier García (ART).
