The Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos, S.A (CSMC,S.A) presented Cuba's potential as a health tourism destination, valued today for its excellence and quality, at the International Tourism Fair, held in Havana.

 

From its stand at the Morro-Cabaña Complex, the entity exhibited the island’s strengths in medical and wellness treatments and scientific and biopharmaceutical development, with the purpose of contributing to the healing and quality of life of human beings.

 

According to Dr. Ileana Reyes, head of International Sales of CSMC, S.A., “the combination of climate, flora and fauna, conservation of ecosystems, years of experience in medical sciences, advances in biotechnology and a tourist infrastructure of excellence, contribute to the integral offer for tourism in the country.

 

That proposal covers, she explained, the well-being of the person and the prevention and cure of diseases, from hotel facilities, health centers and international clinics and with the help of professionals from the health and tourism sectors.

 

“Cuba provides different citizens of the world with unique services, based on the promotion of national biotechnology, such as immunological therapies for lung cancer and ophthalmological programs, including operations for retinitis pigmentosa,” Dr. Ileana pointed out. and added that the pñrovision also includes treatment of addictions, diabetic foot and diabetes, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and neurological restoration, with internationally significant results, based on indicators of recovery of lost capacities.

 

As part of its broad program at FITCuba 2023, CSMC,S.A also presented its portfolio of services and opportunities for foreign investment in the health sector and the call for the second edition of the International Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair FITSaludCuba 2024. They also organized the Wellness Tourism panel, with the presence of representatives of hotel chains.
