Cuba praised establishment of relations between China and Honduras

Havana, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) The Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) on Tuesday hailed the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Honduras.

The head of the International Relations Department, Emilio Lozada, stressed on Twitter that the PCC welcomed ‘the news with special satisfaction and reiterated its permanent support for the One-China principle.’

On Sunday, the Government of Honduras decided to break diplomatic relations with the island of Taiwan and recognized the One-China principle.

After signing a statement, Tegucigalpa and Beijing agreed to develop friendly ties between the two countries based on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, equality, reciprocal benefit and peaceful coexistence, and non-aggression and non-intervention in their internal affairs.
