Havana, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported on Thursday that only one patient remains hospitalized after the fire that occurred on August 5 in the Supertanker Base in the western city of Matanzas.

According to the Cuban Public Health Ministry (MINSAP)’s report, 146 people were treated for injuries, including 139 men.

There is still a man reported in care at the Hermanos Ameijeiras Clinical and Surgical Hospital in Havana.

Of 128 medical discharges granted, 121 are men, while the death toll, according to MINSAP, is 17 lives so far.

The incident occurred on the night of August 5 when a lightning discharge during a storm hit fuel storage tank 52 at the Supertanker Base, in the industrial zone of the city of Matanzas.
