Cuba keeps stable around 3,000 coronavirus cases five days in a row

Havana, Oct 10 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported on Sunday -for five days in a row- around 3,000 daily Covid-19 cases, this time reporting 3,604 and a decreased toll of people still admitted in hospitals.
 
With a decreasing contagion curve, in the last hours the statistics indicated fewer patients in hospitals (16,975 patients), 1,102 less than the previous day.

In his TV press briefing, Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of Epidemiology, detailed that Cuba has reached 918,383 diagnosed with Covid-19 since March 11, 2020, while regretting 39 dead. Cuba´s death toll jumped to 7,851 since the outbreak of the disease in the country.

Talking about the most hit territories, Dr. Durán said that the Pinar del Río province reported 600 patients, Sancti Spíritus (587) and Camagüey (650), while incidence Covid-19 rate dropped to 631.8 per 100,000 inhabitants.

Although the toll of pediatric cases tends to decrease, 750 children (under 18 years of age) were reported, Dr. Durán said.

In recent hours, Cuba reported 4,667 discharges for a total of 893,500, 313 in ICUs, 95 in critical conditions and 218 seriouslly ill.
