Cuba Celebrates Father’s Day
especiales

Cuba is celebrating Father’s Day today, as it does every third Sunday in June—a date set aside to honor and recognize the dedication and affection of fathers toward their children.
The observance of this day varies from country to country, often shaped by local customs and traditions. Some nations celebrate it in accordance with religious practices, while others have established a fixed date on the calendar.
Cuba officially adopted the holiday over eight decades ago, thanks to an initiative led by writer Dulce María Borrero. Today, the social expression of the occasion goes beyond family gatherings or gift-giving. It is a day to celebrate, with admiration and gratitude, the lives of men who embrace fatherhood.
To all the wonderful fathers—our heroes—who continue to break the mold and grow alongside their children: Happy Father’s Day!
