Havana, Aug 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported on Monday that 13 people are still hospitalized and 117 have been discharged from hospital after a fire that broke out at the Supertanker Base in the western city of Matanzas on August 5.

According to the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), 146 patients were treated, four are in critical condition, two in serious condition, and seven in care.

The patients are being treated in four Cuban healthcare centers and so far 117 have been discharged from hospitals.

The fire occurred on the night of August 5, when a bolt of lightning during a storm hit fuel tank 52 at the Matanzas Supertanker Base.

The flames, suffocated with specialized means and forces from Venezuela and Mexico, devastated four tanks of domestically produced crude oil.
