The return to Cuba of three irregular migrants from the Cayman Islands brought the number of people repatriated from that Caribbean territory to 78, the Interior Ministry reported.

These migrants, who arrived at Havana’s Jose Marti international airport on Thursday, had left the country illegally.

One of them was transferred to the investigative bodies for alleged charges of a serious criminal act that was being investigated before he left Cuba, the source noted on its official website.

It was the 78th operation from countries in the region, from where 3,882 Cubans have been repatriated so far this year.
