The inclusion of Cuban beaches in the best lists of analysis of world tourism shows the archipelago as significant for sea voyages.

This criterion is emphasized by the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), which published a long list of coastal resorts recognized for the enjoyment of travelers from all over the planet.

Cuba has more than 200 beaches and, to be more precise, 256 of 588 kilometers of beaches are part of 12 major tourist development regions.

Cayo Santa Maria, for example, in Cuba’s north-central region, is one of the most outstanding recreational spots in the country. Before Covid-19, that destination reported many repeat travelers, especially Europeans. Even now it is open to those who want to rest in Cuba.

These are islets of white fine sands and crystal-clear waters, a characteristic that accompanies other keys, no less famous, in its surroundings, such as Ensenachos and Las Brujas.

In addition to providing enjoyment of sun and beach options, they are ideal sites for diving, snorkeling, yacht rides and other excursions.

Cayo Santa Maria in particular is 13 kilometers long and two kilometers wide (18 square kilometers). Its beaches are 11 kilometers long, with significant names such as Perla Blanca, Las Caletas, Cañon and Cuatro Puntas.

Varadero (Cuba’s most famous coastal resort) is much more than just a beach.
