Havana, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan singer Jimmy Leon, son of famous Venezuelan salsa star Oscar de Leon, will premiere his most recent CD in Cuba, as told by one of the CD musical producers, Cuban composer and band director Manolito Simonet, here.

The presentation of the CD 'A Gozar Bailadores' will take place in the central province of Camaguey, as part of the event called 'Sonido Camagueyano' (Camagueyan Sound) to be held on February 7.

Manolito Simonet said the album compiles a series of anthological songs, which have been taken to a more modern sound, thanks to the musical arrangements by German Velazco, who is the other Cuban musical producer.

During a meeting with the press at the Cuban Music Institute, Simonet told reporters how he helped in the assembling of a big band in the Trabuco Music Havana Studios, with a similar structure to the one used by legendary Cuban singer Benny More, and added Jimmy Leon to the band.

Simonet said the result became extraordinary, highlighted the singing conditions and talent by Jimmy Leon, with a voice quite like the one by his father.

The event on February 7, will convoke Cuban bands, such as Los Van Van, NG La Banda, Maykel Blanco and Salsa Mayor, Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, Maravilla de Florida, Rumbatá and Lágrimas Negras, among others.
