Cuba and the Dominican Republic will exchange views on migratory issues
Cuba and the Dominican Republic will hold the 9th Round of Bilateral Migration Talks the upcoming April 20-21 in Santo Domingo, reported the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to an official statement, the talk will tackle the migration issue between the two countries, as well as the status of the implementation of the ongoing Migration Memorandum as legal framework to guarantee the legitimacy, order, and safety of this process.
Another subject to be discussed is human trafficking. There is an expressed interest in extending bilateral cooperation in the migration environment.
The talks will be headed by Cuban deputy chancellor Ana Teresita Gonzalez, and Dominican Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Consulate and Migration Issues, Marjorie Espinosa.
