Evo Morales Holds 58% Approval Rate in Bolivia

Bolivian president Evo Morales has a 58 percent approval rating among the electorate according to survey results by pollster Ipsos, released on Tuesday.

The long serving leader received unanimous backing from residents of the second largest city El Alto with 69 percent saying they are in support of his government.

While in the southeast city of Santa Cruz, 55 percent of those polled gave their approval.

Only 32 percent of Bolivians disapprove of the country’s first indigenous president while 10 percent decided not to give an opinion, the survey added.
