Zakharova denounces anti-Russian rhetoric at the G7 Summit
The G-7 statement urged Moscow to abandon its alleged 'destabilizing' behavior, including alleged interference in the affairs of other countries, and to respect its commitments in the field of human rights.
Of the meeting among the heads of State and government of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, which concluded on Sunday, Zakharova highlighted the joint call to foster stable and predictable relations with the Russian Federation.
'We hope that those are not empty words, but the most sincere will of the summit participants,' the spokesperson indicated, who earlier recalled that such a request until recently was made only to Moscow.
Russia reiterates its readiness to move towards such relations, but 'strictly on the basis of equality, pragmatism and mutual respect,' she noted.
