PM Marrero lauds work by Cuba’s medical brigade in Türkiye

Havana, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) Prime Minister Manuel Marrero on Tuesday acknowledged the work by Cuban healthcare professionals who are collaborating with the people affected by the earthquakes that hit Türkiye recently.

On his Twitter profile, the Cuban head of Government sent an embrace to those specialists, who work tirelessly, and assured that their daily stories, charged with emotion and humanism, are followed by his compatriots.

On Monday, President Miguel Diaz-Canel recognized the brigade’s performance.

A big hug for our dear doctors. We are very proud of you, and from here we continue to monitor everything you are doing in sister Türkiye. Cuba admires and loves them, expressed the president on Twitter.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez noted on Monday the presence of Cuban physicians in Türkiye as a show of solidarity after the tragedy.

The Cuban brigade is made up of 20 doctors and 11 nurses, epidemiologists and service personnel, and was stationed at the Necip Fazil Sehir Hospital, in the town of Buyukyapalak, Elbistan, Kahramanmaraş province, in south central Türkiye.
