Havana Skate Marathon to Soon Celebrate Its Fifth Edition

The fifth edition of the Havana Skate Marathon will be held on the 12th and 13th of this month in the streets of the capital, organizers confirmed today.
The event will bring together the country's top skaters and also expects the participation of foreign competitors, as has happened in previous editions.
According to confirmation provided to the digital newspaper Jit by the organizing committee president, Tony García, there will be five youth speed categories, while the elite category will encompass skaters aged 16 to 29, and the master's category those over 30.
For the marathon, children in the 9-10 and 11-12 age categories will skate seven kilometers, while the elite and master's categories will complete the full 42-kilometer circuit.
According to the source, as part of the inline skating modality, there will be competitions in jump, speed slalom (weaving through a line of cones), and skatecross (a race with obstacles).
