Cuba's Sports Institute, INDER, appoints new Commissioner for Athletics

Havana, July 30 (RHC)-- The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) on Saturday appointed Rolando Carlos Charró as the new commissioner of athletics, after releasing Yipsi Moreno from the post at her personal request.

In a note, the Board of Directors of INDER informed that, "at her personal request, Yipsi Moreno Gonzalez has been released from her functions as national commissioner of athletics."

The organization recognized Moreno's work at the head of athletics during her term in office, at the meeting held this Saturday in the Cuban capital.

At the time of his appointment, Charró was the director of INDER in the province of Guantánamo.
