Havana, Jan 30 (Prensa Latina) The president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, urged to work with responsibility, discipline and control to overcome the challenges that the increase in Covid-19 infections imposes on the country.

In a work tour carried out the on Friday through the eastern provinces of Guantanamo and Santiago de Cuba, the head of State called to take advantage of the experiences accumulated in the months of fighting the pandemic in order to control its repeat outbreak.

Both cities present high levels of propagation and an increase in the incidence rate of the disease, with Guantanamo presenting the most complex situation, for which the president urged to consolidate the primary health care system and to work with energy, effort and dedication.

In this scenario, the governor of Guantanamo, Emilio Matos, said that the challenge imposes a systematic and efficient fight, both to reduce the spread of the disease, and in the implementation of the Ordering Task and food production.

Both aspects were also part of the goals of the government tour, which also saw the participation of Prime Minister Manuel Marrero.
