Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez celebrated the nation’s children on Sunday, marking the annual observance of Children’s Day, held every third Sunday of July.
In a post on X, the president wrote, "We stay awake for them, because they carry within them innocence, the ability to love purely, and the future of our homeland."
Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Communist Party’s Central Committee, also joined in the tribute. He echoed the words of Cuban national hero José Martí, stating that children are "the hope of the world" and affirming, "We work with them and their future in mind."
The messages underscore Cuba’s emphasis on youth as the foundation of the nation’s progress, aligning with longstanding cultural and political values.
