Cuban Ambassador to Slovakia condemns U.S. hostile blockade

Bratislava, May 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Ambassador to Slovakia Rafael Pino Bécquer on Monday strongly condemned the hostile and unjust U.S. blockade imposed on Cuba for over 60 years.

In his speech, Bécquer also condemned Cuba´s inclusion on the U.S. list of State Sponsoring Terrorism.

The economic blockade punishes all Cubans and their productive and business sector as a whole, said the Cuban ambassador who added such a brutal policy “is not only aimed at harming the State, as alleged by the United States, but also at preventing it from progressing and developing”.

I can tell you that Cuba is not only resisting but also advancing creatively amid such difficult conditions imposed to maintain our independence and sovereignty, he added.

For over 60 years facing a harsh blockade, our country has been rpoviding medical services in 165 nations by sending as many as 605,698 health collaborators, including doctors, nurses and health and technical personnel, the diplomat claimed.
