Cuba and The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) confirmed their willingness to extend technical cooperation in areas of common interest, the Cuban Foreign Ministry (MINREX) reported today. A n official note issued by that ministry said Fioreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and UNCTAD Secretary General Mukhisa Kituyi held a meeting yesterday and tackled issues as the holding of the 14th Ministerial Conference of the authority, scheduled for July in Kenya.

The report added that both figures talked also about the historic relations that bind Cuba and the institution together.

Together with the distinguished visitor, the director of the UNCTAD Division of International Trade of Goods, Services and Basic Products, Guillermo Valles, attended the reception, as well as MINREX Director General of Multilateral Issues and International Law Pedro Nuñez.

During his stay in this capital, the UNCTAD secretary general will present the World Investment Report 2016.
