Cristina Fernández Meets Fidel Castro and Returns to Argentina

After attending the mass officiated today by Pope Francis and meeting with President Raul Castro and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, the Argentinean head of State Cristina Fernandez took the flight home. The information service of Casa Rosada confirmed here that the President left the Havana airport in the presidential plane Tango 01 a little after 17:00 hours Cuban time.
The President described as emotive and moving the historic mass officiated by Pope Francis in the Revolutionary Square in Havana and assured that it was as Che Guevara looked on all present, she referred.
The words of Cristina Fernandez were said at the international Havana airport when she addressed reporters before taking the return trip to Argentina after her visit to Cuba, where this Sunday after the Pope´s mass she was welcomed by Fidel Castro in his house.
Saturday night she had a work meetiung with President Raul Castro, who also presided over dinner served in her honor at the Palace of the Revolution.
The Argentinean dignatary who visits the island for the fourth time since 2009, described the meeting with Raul Castro as "very good and pleasant" and said they exchanged "opinions on what is happening in the world and the region: all very well."
Cristina Fernandez also held a brief meeting, the seventh, with the Holy Father, once ended the multitudinary mass, before Pope Francis
before he got into the Popemobile. There they exchanged greetings and some words, said the service Infonews which has a special envoy in Cuba to cover the Pope´s visit.
"We asked the usual: that I pray for him and he for me", she said to the press of her country before boarding the Tango 01.
Among others, the President was accompanied by FM Hector Timerman, the Secretary of Public Communication, Alfredo Scoccimarro, ambassadors of Argentina to the Vatican and Cuba,
Eduardo Valdés and Juliana Marino, respectively.
Previous to her arrival on Saturday, had come Minister of Culture, Teresa Parodi, to participate in the ministerial conference of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
Also traveled here the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Carlos Casamiquela, who signed important cooperation agreements in several fields of his activity.
