Full house, with more than 75 people there, it was carried out an activity rejecting the U.S. blockade against Cuba. The event was summoned by organizations belonging to the Cuban emigration, members of Alianza Martiana, on Sunday afternoon.

The event confirmed the commitment of those attending the activity to continue their struggle against the blockade, as well as fighting back all aggressive policies implemented by the American government to harm the Cuban people. Therefore, they will champion the rights of Cuban citizens to independence, sovereignty, and to live and grow in peace.

The speakers made reference, among other major issues, to the positive steps taken after the beginning of a new stage in the relations between Cuba and the United States. They also highlighted all the emerging possibilities to normalize the relations between the two people, without overlooking the threats it may imply.

The speakers were: Elena Freyre, president of the Foundation for Normalization of Relations between the U.S. and Cuba (FORONORM), Max Lesnik, director of Radio Miami and executive in Alianza Martiana, and Andres Gomez, National Coordinator of the Antonio Maceo Brigade.

Indeed, the participants welcomed the words via cell phone of three notable and beloved Cubans: Ricardo Alarcon, former president of National Assembly of People´s Power of Cuba, Eusebio Leal, Havana´s historian, and Ramon Labañino, Heroe of the Republic of Cuba and one of the Cuban Five. All of them praisedthe relevance of the activity. They also expressed their gratitude for the bravery and courage shown by the members of Alianza Martiana for decades.
