Ultimate Athletics World Championship to Bring Together 381 Athletes from 65 Nations

A total of 381 athletes from 65 nations will compete this weekend in the World Athletics Ultimate Championship Budapest 2026, World Athletics confirmed today.
According to the final entry lists, representatives from Brazil, the Bahamas, Cuba, Colombia, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, and Panama will represent Latin America.
Featuring Olympic champions, world champions, and recent Diamond League winners, the event will offer a record prize purse of 10 million dollars, with individual champions earning 150 thousand dollars.
Brazilian Alison dos Santos (400-meter hurdles) and Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino (400 meters) appear among the region's top contenders, alongside Cuban triple jumpers Leyanis Pérez and Davisleydis Velazco, as well as sprinters Julien Alfred of St. Lucia and Oblique Seville of Jamaica.
From this Friday through Sunday, the year's top performers in 28 disciplines will compete for the main prizes over three nights of action at the Gyula Zsivotzky National Athletics Center in the Hungarian capital.
