The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Esmaeil Baghaei, pointed out this Monday during a press conference that the U.S. is becoming more trapped in its own quagmire with its threats against the Persian nation, as reported by the Tasnim agency.

"American rulers must have understood that the language of threats and force against the Iranian nation is ineffective, and that repeating past mistakes will only further entangle them in the quagmire they created for themselves in the region and in the international community," he declared.

Furthermore, he denounced that the current situation witnessed in the Middle East region is a direct consequence of Washington's military interventions and the attacks by both the North American country and Israel in Iranian territorial waters.

Finally, the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry noted that his country considers itself the primary guarantor of security in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a maritime route which—he highlighted—was a "symbol of safe and stable traffic" until March 29.
