Cuban Foreign Minister Denounces Multidimensional U.S. Aggression on ABC
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez denounced today, in an interview with ABC, the multidimensional aggression carried out by the United States against Cuba, citing grave damages caused by the energy siege and new secondary coercive measures.
In a message published on the social network X, the Minister of Foreign Affairs reported that he granted an interview to the U.S. media outlet, in which he reiterated Cuba's willingness to engage in dialogue with the Washington government, provided it remains on the basis of respect for the island's sovereignty and self-determination.
Yesterday, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the executive order issued by the White House on May 1, 2026, which it described as a “ruthless act of economic aggression” that elevates the blockade against the island to extreme levels.
The Ministry also condemned the inclusion of the companies Gaesa and MoaNickel S.A. on the U.S. Department of the Treasury's List of Specially Designated Nationals, marking the first coercive measure derived from that order.
The official statement warned that these actions multiply the extraterritorial effects of the blockade through the application of secondary sanctions on foreign companies, banks, and entities, even if their business operations within U.S. territory are unrelated to Cuba.
