May Day in Havana: A Display of Unity and Sovereignty

Thousands of residents of Havana marched this May Day to the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Tribune, demonstrating that, despite existing difficulties, the determination to preserve national sovereignty remains unbroken.

Defending the homeland means defending the nation, its culture, and the achievements of a revolutionary process that granted the Cuban people sovereignty and dignity. It also signifies a collective will to continue building a better future through the work of Cubans and for Cubans. Cuba has the right to exist, the right to develop, and the right to uphold the social project chosen by the majority of its people.
