Like an unstoppable battering ram, Cuba forged its third consecutive victory in the qualifying tournament today, crushing an opponent that bled out under lethal transitions and a West Indian defensive wall.

The Table Tennis Pavilion at Parque del Este in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, bore witness to a Cuban gale that elevated its record to 3-0 in Group A.

Previously, the Cubans defeated Costa Rica 29-21 in their debut on April 27, with Mario Pérez serving as the primary executioner by netting seven decisive goals in lightning-fast counterattacks.

The following day, Cuba overcame the Dominican hosts 36-30 in a high-intensity duel, where Adrián Azcuy shone with nine goals and a fierce defense that frustrated local attempts.

This achievement, a cornerstone on the road to the regional multi-sport event, reaffirms the Caribbean dominance of the squad led by its technical staff, with sights now set on the Caribbean Cup semifinals to be held next Saturday.
