A majority of Americans believe that U.S. President Donald Trump has suffered a decline in his cognitive abilities, according to a survey conducted by Reuters and the Ipsos consultancy.

The study, which surveyed more than 4,500 adults, indicates that 51% of respondents believe the president's mental acuity has diminished. This comes within a context marked by the war with Iran and tensions with the Pope, factors that also fuel questioning regarding his emotional stability.

Furthermore, only 26% of those consulted consider Trump to be a balanced person. This reflects broader concerns about his temperament and his capacity to handle high-pressure situations, according to the same poll.
