Iran: The Enemy Will Take Its Desire to Control the Strait of Hormuz to the Grave

An Iranian military spokesman declared Tuesday that Iran's armed forces will repel any aggressor attempting to seize the Strait of Hormuz, as tensions escalate following Iran's closure of the strategic waterway in response to U.S.-Israeli military strikes against the country.

Iran has asserted that its Armed Forces will cut the legs out from under any invader and plunge them into humiliation and disgrace.

Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated Tuesday that the miscalculations of U.S. President Donald Trump and the criminal leaders of the Israeli Zionist regime have rendered the unprecedented public mobilization of the Iranian people, as well as the remarkable resolve of the Armed Forces on the battlefield, entirely unpredictable for the enemy.

"This strategic blunder by the American and Zionist enemies of Islamic Iran has humiliated them and set them on a path toward destruction. In their fantasies and delusions, they believe that by waging a propaganda war, displaying ostensibly advanced weapons and military equipment, and assassinating children, women, men, scientists, and brave commanders of this country, they will be able to subjugate a powerful and proud Iran that has never bowed before its enemies throughout history, or seize control of the Strait of Hormuz — but they will take that desire with them to the grave forever," he emphasized.

Iran's Qadir-class midget submarines are considered the most significant threat to any U.S. attempt to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has closed.

The spokesman made clear that the defeated American-Zionist enemies of Islamic Iran must understand that this conscious and resilient nation, together with its proud sons and daughters in the Armed Forces, has demonstrated it will cut the legs out from under any aggressor and subject them to humiliation and misery.

Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz following the U.S.-Israeli military strikes against it has triggered a severe spike in oil prices, creating a significant political headache for President Trump, who has ordered the deployment of thousands of U.S. troops to the Persian Gulf in preparation for a potential ground invasion to seize control of the narrow shipping lane.

On Sunday, Zolfaqari warned Trump that American soldiers would end up as food for the sharks of the Persian Gulf.

Iranian authorities have indicated that transit through the strait remains open to all vessels that coordinate with Iran, with the exception of those linked to the United States and the Israeli regime.
