Turning setbacks into wins is a historical attitude, and laughing at our misfortunes is a classic trait of those of us born surrounded by the terrible circumstance of water on all sides and who, of course, chose to sail.

Fear doesn't usually feel like making jokes, but we do, and it's not a lack of seriousness. This ability to turn the worst threat into a meme is another way of confronting it.

That's what we did with the aircraft carrier that Mr. Trump plans to "park" in front of the Malecón, and among other excellent ideas, we thought of using them for one of the arts that has made us famous and happy: dancing casino.

On social media, we laugh only as a warning that in real life it will be "all hands to attack, buddy."
