Polls Reject Trump: 60% Disapprove of His Actions

Sixty percent of Americans disapprove of Donald Trump's performance as president of the United States—a dissatisfaction index that has reached a historic high in his second term, according to a poll published by ABC News and The Washington Post, as the country awaits his State of the Union address scheduled for Tuesday.
The issues with which Americans are most dissatisfied are inflation (65% disapprove), tariffs (64%), foreign relations (62%), and immigration management (58%).
The poll adds that disapproval has increased slightly since last October, when it was 59%, and seven percentage points since the beginning of his term (February 2025).
Approval, on the other hand, has decreased from 45% to 39%.
The survey, conducted in collaboration with Ipsos between February 12 and 17, included responses from 2,589 American adults.
Although Trump's management is rejected by the majority of voters, with 64% believing the president is "out of touch with the country's major concerns," the Democrats are not exempt from pressure regarding confidence either.
For example, when asked who could best manage the main problems of the United States, only 31% responded the Democrats in Congress, while 33% responded the magnate.
Another third of Americans responded "neither party."
Within the Republican camp, there is a division between those who identify with Trump's specific political orientation and those who distance themselves somewhat from it: 54% of conservative sympathizers declare themselves "supporters of the MAGA movement," while 42% say they do not. Among the latter, the majority disapprove of his management of inflation, tariffs, and foreign relations. Regarding this last point, 54% of respondents do not support "the use of military force to force changes in other countries," a policy supported by 20% of citizens.
