The National Baseball Commission announced Saturday the 28-player roster for the Matanzas Crocodiles, the Cuban club selected to represent the island at the III Baseball Champions League, hosted in Mexico from the 24th through the 29th of this month.
Cuba has been placed in Group B alongside the Dantos de Managua and the CTBC Brothers, representing Chinese Taipei.
Group A, meanwhile, will feature defending champion Diablos Rojos de México, the United States' Kane County Cougars, and Venezuela's Samanes de Aragua.
In the tournament's inaugural edition, held in 2023 in Yucatán, Mexico, the Granma Alazanes finished in fourth and last place. Two years later, in 2025, the Las Tunas Leñadores reached the final, ultimately claiming the runner-up position after falling to the Diablos Rojos.
