The Spanish hotel company Iberostar confirmed today its active participation in the Cuban International Tourism Fair (FITCuba 2026).

A statement released this Friday adds that the company has a broad portfolio to showcase at the meeting, which is scheduled to take place from May 7 to 9 in a hybrid format—online for business sessions and with a physical presence for the general public at the Varadero resort on the final day.

The event, which is the largest commercial gathering for the tourism sector in Cuba, will hold its presentations and business meetings in an online format, reaffirming its role as a benchmark space for the promotion of the national and international tourism industry.

In this context, Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts invites travelers to experience the diverse rhythms of the largest island in the Antilles, with a special emphasis on the peaceful tempos of Varadero, the destination to which this edition of the commercial forum is dedicated.

Recently recognized by TripAdvisor as the third-best beach in the Caribbean for 2026—receiving the prestigious "Best of the Best" award—Varadero consolidates its status as a privileged enclave for relaxation, culture, and business.

Standing right on the iconic Varadero beach is the Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul, an all-inclusive resort that has become a flagship of the Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts portfolio. With 814 rooms and the distinction of being the company's first hotel under a lease management model, the Laguna Azul offers an inclusive experience for families and groups of friends, as well as an exclusive Relax Zone for adults.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul delivers a "passport to the deepest blue," as the company assumed the lease of the hotel on January 1, a strategic step that will allow for its gradual repositioning at both local and global levels.

This model involves a comprehensive transformation encompassing the renovation of the asset, the incorporation of state-of-the-art technology, the optimization of sales channels, the strengthening of operations, and the development of talent.

The schedule of improvements planned for 2026 includes the remodeling of the buffet, the renovation of 250 rooms, the refurbishment of the Relax Zone pool, the installation of four new elevators, and a complete restructuring of the Spa.

The Iberian lodging firm proposes in its statement a long list of opportunities for guests who will be present both electronically and physically during the days of the Fair.
