These days, Mr. Rubio has taken to philosophizing about the dangers threatening the US, vehemently asserting that they come from the extremist left.

It’s certainly part of the bureaucratic duties of the super-secretary to compile a list of the enemies in fashion, something that all the officials who preceded him in this position have done, and which, as a rule, strive to fulfill the maxim that a formidable enemy has always been invented or fabricated to justify the Empire's hostility toward the rest of the world.

Thus, trapped in the communicational need to demonstrate an imminent threat in order to justify their own actions against third parties, the US government has chosen the dangerous targets of the moment, generally linked to certain nefarious interests of its large conglomerates, with the appetite for other countries' oil being the most eloquent and current example.

This is why, in the imperial "imaginary," the figure of the Arab or Muslim has predominated for the last 30 years as the worst of the worst, the most dangerous—something that was supposedly demonstrated by the attacks of September 11, 2001. This event, of course, is surrounded by all sorts of conspiracy theories, precisely those that suggest it was a kind of self-inflicted attack, because it involved a terrorist organization, Al-Qaeda, made up of Islamists, but which owes its existence to the CIA's fabrication when they organized the Afghans to fight the Soviet "invasion."

All Western propaganda, with a high level of acceptance among its populations—to which Hollywood, with its peculiar way of presenting history, has certainly contributed—accepts the aggressiveness of Muslims as revealed truth. And this “agreement” has led the US to its current predicament, mired in the war against Iran, which has spent nearly 30 years building a nuclear weapon “for next week”—a complete absurdity.

The supposed Islamic involvement in terrorist events in the US presents a challenge to any truly objective analysis of history because, due to the often explicit racism prevalent among American elites, they usually label as Arab anyone who doesn't have blond hair and eyes.

So, the enemy of the American people has thus far been someone born somewhere in West Asia, which is incorrectly called the Middle East. And the real reason is that there’s abundant oil in that region; any other pretext is just that: empty justification devoid of verifiable content.

With this background, Mr. Rubio appears, declaring that most terrorists are leftists, whose capital or main reference point is none other than Havana. Can anyone in their right mind believe this? Doesn't Mr. Rubio know that Cuba doesn't have enough oil? Well, he does, hence the insane decision to block Cubans from importing that product.

Another problem in the US Secretary of State's delusional argument: the ideological approach that takes center stage in describing his country's enemy. Yes, because until now, diatribes against Arabs, due to their political and ideological leanings, weren't of much interest in official propaganda. Some speculated about the "unhealthy" nature of the Muslim religion, but frankly, that approach didn't predominate. Perhaps because, strictly speaking, many, if not all, "proven" Islamic terrorists have been essentially right-wing, or anything but left-wing, neither Marxists, nor socialists, nor anything of the sort.

So, a first observation, much to the chagrin of Mr. Rubio's occasional pamphlets, is that he decided to innovate in his use of terminology regarding the "enemy of the American people." He is no longer from an oil-rich country, and now he professes an ideology "typical of the bad guys," a vague and arbitrary statement, simplified to resonate on social media, but lacking any real substance.

However, Mr. Rubio faces several obstacles to prevent this propaganda, with its reek of electioneering as already mentioned, from having any impact on local public opinion, much less internationally.

First, there are the facts, the ones that disprove the narrative, such as it’s claimed. As explained earlier, these statistics can be significantly biased, especially due to the tendency to blame Muslims for everything, but even acknowledging this problem, the numbers are conclusive.

For example, 87% of attacks and acts of terror in the US over the last 50 years are attributed to the phenomenon they call "radical Islamism or jihadism." Next in order of impact are attacks organized by individuals and far-right organizations, which account for approximately 11%. Also included are so-called "lone wolves" with no clear political affiliation, although it’s obviously unlikely they are left-wing activists, something they would have made clear before massacring children in a school or worshippers in a temple, to cite only the most common and horrific cases. Finally, the far left is listed, considered as isolated cases, associated with issues such as environmentalism, as they are described, and which account for around 2%. In summary, 98% (right-wing) vs. 2% (left-wing).

To the previous table, we must add right-wing state terrorism, which has existed and continues to be respected worldwide. We don't have to look far into history; there are the civilian victims of the endless US aggressions in the years following World War II, estimated at over 20 million—collateral damage, they call it, to be more sadistic and cynical, probably. And currently, the record is held by the most bloodthirsty of today's far-right figures, the Zionist prime minister, competing with the occupant of the White House, in his genocidal war against Iran.

There’s also far-right terrorism in the very practice of economic policy or in the handling of immigration issues in the current imperial administration. Otherwise, just ask the victims of ICE, the same agency that imprisons two-year-old children, whom they call the Trumpian Gestapo. Or the treacherous cuts to millions of dollars in medical aid for millions of people, ending the Medicare Part D subsidy program by 2027; in parallel, a scandalous reduction in the tax burden for the super-rich, or funds for wars abroad, and no less extraordinary, the epithet they've given Trump: the most corrupt president in Republican history.

Mr. Rubio is trapped by his inescapable purpose, the most important, if not the only one: to end the Cuban Revolution. His message doesn't fit into the prevailing imperial narrative, much less can it be supported by real-world data. Hence, they must resort to AI and other techniques of dubious morality that reach the point of absurdity, for example, when the State Department created a map of Africa with this so-called AI, which placed the countries in a disordered and absurd way—worse, to be used in a meeting to deceive Africans.

It's true that one could argue that the ruling American elite doesn't really care whether the average person believes them; after all, they've always lied shamelessly, a record held by Trump and emulated by all his ministers, including Mr. Rubio, who was already a liar before working for the current president.

However, when lies don't bring about improvements, when, on the contrary, they create problems, impacting people's daily lives, potential voters, and abroad, provoking distrust, rejection, and generally repulsion and absolute discredit, then they become a conflict from which it's not easy to escape.

Because the hackneyed justification for initiating the aggression against Iran has impacted not only the government's credibility but also the rise in inflation and the deterioration of the quality of life for Americans, including vast sectors of the so-called middle class.

Lies vs. Data: inflation in December 2024 was 2.9%, compared to 23.5% in July 2026, driven, of course, by the increase in energy costs, which affects the rest of the economy across the board. Consequently, the GDP growth forecast plummets from 2.3% in December 2024 to 1.5% for the second half of 2026. The Trump administration is trying to cope with this debacle by threatening the “free press” and “freedom of expression,” according to the lamentations of the ineffable Inter-American Press Association, which, incidentally, is not part of the “radical left.”

It’s hardly necessary to mention the slow but crushing decline in the popularity of the White House occupant, which threatens to drag the Republican establishment, incapable of confronting Trump, into a resounding electoral defeat. Economic realities and the rejection of the war in Iran, the most unpopular in contemporary US history, are taking their toll on the lies, regardless of the fact that the aforementioned elite doesn't care about that detail.

So Mr. Rubio is left speechless. A willful but inevitable madness. The order received from the Miami Cosa Nostra is to create a pretext to attack Cuba, and at the very least increase the suffocation, trying to emulate, through crime, the actions of their Zionist bosses against Gaza, as a US legislator aptly stated when referring to the aggression and blockade against the Cuban family.

No, Mr. Rubio, the problem for Americans isn't that Havana is the capital of 21st-century communism; you need to talk about real issues that matter to the voters of New York, California, or Texas. How can you even think of conspiring, in such a crude way, to start another war when the Iran-Iraq War, where there's oil, which supposedly threatens Israel, isn't even close to ending while Trump is in power?

Seriously, Mr. Rubio? Do you really think anyone outside the small, celebrity-driven world of South Florida cares about the idea that Cuba is a threat that's impossible to prove, completely intangible, and which, according to you, has to do with something a certain Karl Marx wrote hundreds of years ago?

It's no wonder that every 48 hours, the Secretary of State and other officials rail against Cuban espionage, or about its influence in almost every aspect of American life; of course, they've simply confirmed something obvious to everyone: Cuba can't possibly be a threat to the superpower with the "most powerful army in the world." After all, they've been claiming for years that the island is a failed state.

The narrative contradiction is insurmountable, Mr. Rubio, because it's simply absurd that Cuba could have generated the anti-King (against Trump) protests, the current ones, or that it's behind the Black Lives Matter organization, which emerged in 2013. Even less so, the reaction in hundreds of American universities and from millions of people around the world against the genocide in Gaza.

Forced by circumstances, Mr. Rubio ends up admitting that his anti-Cuban intentions have numerous obstacles to overcome, including the fact that the small Island of Dignity generates a great deal of sympathy in American society and around the world. So, Mr. Rubio's strategy seems to be to behave as unpopularly as possible; and he still wants to be president. Well, perhaps the more despicable he is, the greater his chances of achieving that wet dream. Life will clarify things, perhaps soon enough.

Does this mean that Mr. Rubio's ridiculous campaign should be underestimated? Not at all. His unbridled behavior, which oozes desperation from every pore, is very dangerous. The damage he is already doing to the Cuban people is immeasurable, and it’s clear that this is not enough for him; his purpose is to subdue Cubans, the Cuban left, to use his terms. But it turns out that this nation has an insurmountable advantage: it holds political power without real alternatives and is the repository of the most authentic feelings of patriotism, solidarity, and sovereignty of the indomitable people who inhabit the Island of Dignity.
