Esteban Lazo Holds Talks with Ambassadors of Russia and Belarus

Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, met in Havana with the ambassadors of Russia and Belarus to reaffirm interparliamentary ties. Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Council of State, held fraternal meetings today in Havana with the ambassadors of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, Viktor Koronelli and Vitaly Borchuk, respectively. During these encounters, both parties ratified their commitment to further strengthening historical interparliamentary relations.

According to the Cuban Parliament's official account on the social network "X", the exchange with the Russian ambassador highlighted the importance of deepening ties between the legislative bodies of both nations, within the context of the "traditional relations of friendship and cooperation" that unite Cuba and Russia.

In the meeting with the Belarusian diplomat, Lazo Hernández and Borchuk agreed that interparliamentary links continue to grow stronger, reflecting the solid state of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The parties expressed their interest in continuing to expand legislative exchange and cooperation on matters of mutual interest. Relations between Cuba, Russia, and Belarus have long been characterized by solidarity and mutual support within international forums.
