"To Cuban mothers, their children are the first and ultimate reason for their lives. To defend their world, they are willing to fight, but above all, they are willing to live," expressed the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, on the social network X on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

The President offered his thanks for the dedication shown by all those who "fight like lionesses in the harshness of daily life."

Manuel Marrero, the nation's Prime Minister, also marked the date, emphasizing the blessing of their presence even during such trying times.

"Cuban mothers possess that perfect blend of sensitivity and firmness that makes them extraordinary, capable of rising above adversity without giving up their smile or their beauty," he stated.

For his part, Roberto Morales, the Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party, extended his congratulations as well.

"In these difficult days, when the ferocity of the siege seeks to hurt your children, your resilience flourishes as a genuine heritage of 'cubanía.' You know how to turn a 'there is none' into a 'look what we made,' and from exhaustion, you draw the strength to keep going, to keep providing encouragement," Morales remarked.
