Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel affirmed Friday that, in the face of mounting energy disruptions — particularly within the transportation sector — the government is actively pursuing labor and wage protections for the country's workforce.
"We must adapt and seek redeployment under these circumstances, especially at the local level, as there is much to be done in communities and we must strengthen the productive system," Díaz-Canel told reporters during a televised appearance held to update the nation on the current situation.
