Court System Signs for Peace

The commitment of the employees of the People's Court System to defend the peace of the Cuban people through their labor was emphasized today at the headquarters of the People's Supreme Court (TSP), as part of the "My Signature for the Homeland" movement.
During the ceremony, registration forms were opened to collect the sentiments of the institution's members, representing various sectors of society in favor of peace and against both war and the economic blockade. This initiative comes amid the escalation of threats from the United States government against the Caribbean nation.
Those in attendance reaffirmed their commitment to defending national sovereignty and pledged to report and keep the population informed in any scenario to combat campaigns of manipulation and misrepresentation against the island.
Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez, President of the TSP, urged his compatriots to honor the patriotism and dignity of the institution's members through their signatures. He stated that these records reaffirm that while Cubans desire peace and oppose war, they will not hesitate to take up arms should national independence and the achievements of the Revolution be threatened by foreign aggression.
In this regard, he expressed the will of directors, magistrates, and workers of the System to endorse this sovereign exercise, which aims to bring the nation's demands to the rest of the world.
Daniel Alejandro Corrales Ponce, a youth associated with the organ’s work, confirmed the decisive participation of younger generations in the process as a way to meet the demands of their current historical moment.
Corrales Ponce referred to this movement as a sign of consistent adherence to the Cuban Rule of Law and its foundations, noting that "the Homeland is not an abstract concept but a conviction earned through the blood and sacrifice of successive generations of Cubans, and therefore, it is non-negotiable."
