Banco Metropolitano announced today that banking channels are now active for the purchase of foreign currency by non-agricultural cooperatives and small private enterprises, in accordance with the new foreign exchange market design.

The institution specified through its official profile on the social network Facebook that operations will follow established procedures and take place once a month. Transactions will be processed using a formula based on the entity's average income over the preceding three months, multiplied by 50 percent, and divided by the prevailing daily exchange rate.

The bank noted that transactions are executed directly through each applicant's fiscal current account, with a 48-hour deadline to finalize the purchase following approval.

To request the operation, interested parties must log in to the Metropolitano en Línea service at www.banmet.enzona.net, navigate to the "Corporate Banking" section, and enter the required details. Once the request receives authorization, applicants will be notified via SMS or email.

The institution added that it provides financial education and advisory services to participating entities, guiding them through every step of the foreign exchange purchasing process.
