Wars, political instability and the actions by terrorist groups increase human suffering to unprecedented levels in the last 7 decades, United Nations stated Monday.

A report by the UN said several countries have been forced to increase their requests for financial resources to solve the demand for foods, medicines, shelter, sanitation and education for the children in conflict areas.

The report circulated here because of the request for 2017 of 22.2 billion dollars to take care of 93 million people in 33 nations of the world.

On behalf of the UN and humanitarian organizations, UN assistant secretary general Stephen O’Brien made the request from Geneva.

According to the report of the United Nations, in 1992, the request for resources for the humanitarian aid had been of 2.7 billion dollars, what ratifies the deterioration of the situation at world scale.

In Afghanistan, the long conflict and the massive displacement of persons increased the order for funds, as in Burundi, where the necessary money was tripled, up to three million dollars, to attend to more than one million persons, 80 percent of them women and children.

Also in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and South Sudan, the situation is very serious, while in the shore of the Lake Chad, more resources are needed to face the impact of the members of Boko Haram.

Not only the conflicts and the wars provoke the increase of the order of humanitarian aid, which in 2016 amounted to 20.1 billion dollars.

The UNO and its associates included in the demands for the next year million persons flogged in Ethiopia, Somalia, Haiti and the south of the African continent for the climatic phenomenon El Niño and successor La Niña.
