A delegation of the Democratic Left Front of Sri Lanka will travel to Cuba to celebrate International Workers' Day on May 1

The party’s deputy general secretary, GV:V Tilakasiri, who recently met with Cuban Ambassador to Colombo Andres Marcelo Gonzalez, will lead the group, according to a publication on X.

The Democratic Left Front (Prajathanthravadi Vamanshika Peramuna) is a political party in Sri Lanka that is a member of the ruling United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA).

The Sri Lankan delegation will join more than 627 people from 31 nations who will celebrate May Day in Cuba.

This year’s mass parade in Cuba will be held at the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Tribune in Havana.

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) confirmed recently that the usual Meeting of Solidarity with foreign friends will also take place in Cuba.
