Paris, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) The France-Cuba solidarity association said on Tuesday that it will promote support for Cuba and its Revolution at the Fête de l'Humanité, a traditional political-cultural event to be held in the Paris Region from September 9 to 11.
Solidarity with the western province of Matanzas after a severe fire last month, and condemnation of the United States’ economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba will mark the agenda of the organization, which was created in 1961 and is one of the oldest of its kind in Europe and the world, told Prensa Latina.
According to France-Cuba, the edition of the Fête de l’Humanité held in Plessis-Paté, in the department of Essonne, will return with a stand for the first time after the Covid-19 pandemic, which is a source of satisfaction and expectations for the reunion.
Regarding the activities, the group mentioned the collection of funds to support the recovery of Matanzas after the fire that destroyed part of the Supertanker Base, the continuity of the campaign against the US blockade, and the promotion of the 5th International Conference for the Balance of the World, to be held in Havana in January 2023.
We are working to send a delegation to this important forum in Cuba, the group added.
The French association also highlighted, among its actions at the Fête de l’Humanité, the holding of a meeting-debate with the Cuban delegation to the event, which will be headed by Yoerky Sanchez, a lawmaker and a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (PCC) and the Council of State.
