Cuban Robertlandy Simón continues to shine in the Italian volleyball league, the best in the world. On the most recent day, he led Piacenza to a 5-set win over Verona in a match for the dispute for fifth place.

Simón scored 18 points, with 5 blocks and a 100 percent effectiveness on the attack, for which he deserved the distinction of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.

Cuban Marlon Yant Herrera also played a good game for Lube Civitanova, but could not avoid the setback of his team against Padova 0-3.

Yant did not start and had action in two of the three sets, in which he scored 11 points, with 5 aces and an attacking efficiency of 86 percent.

In the semifinals, Trentino lost to Monza, but still leads the series 2-1, and Perugia beat Osniel Mergarejo's Milan and is also ahead 2-1.
