Simon shines again in Italian volleyball league

Cuban Robertlandy Simón continues to shine in the Italian volleyball league, the best in the world. On the most recent day, he led Piacenza to a 5-set win over Verona in a match for the dispute for fifth place.
Simón scored 18 points, with 5 blocks and a 100 percent effectiveness on the attack, for which he deserved the distinction of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.
Cuban Marlon Yant Herrera also played a good game for Lube Civitanova, but could not avoid the setback of his team against Padova 0-3.
Yant did not start and had action in two of the three sets, in which he scored 11 points, with 5 aces and an attacking efficiency of 86 percent.
In the semifinals, Trentino lost to Monza, but still leads the series 2-1, and Perugia beat Osniel Mergarejo's Milan and is also ahead 2-1.
