Havana, July 22 (Prensa Latina) Floral tributes from the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raul Castro, and President Miguel Diaz-Canel pay tribute on Friday to musician Cesar "Pupy" Pedroso, who died on July 17.

The funeral honors for the 2013 National Music Award winner took place at the National Theater of Cuba, which remained open to the public until 3:00 p.m., local time, so that the people can bid farewell to the man who was one of the most important music artists on Cuba.

Sentimental shows of affection were witnessed early in the lobby of the cultural institution, where relatives, friends, colleagues and the general public gathered to bid farewell to the pianist and composer, a founding member of Los Van Van orchestra.

During his artistic career, Pedroso stamped his personal seal on the group Los que Son Son, founded on October 4, 2001, it was led by him until his death.

Pupy, 75 years old (September 24, 1946), contributed to the birth of the songo rhythm, while bequeathing an extensive work, recognized with various awards and recognition.
