PSUV Congress to ratify Maduro as its candidate for elections

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) will hold today its congress, with the participation of young people of that political force, to ratify President Nicolás Maduro as its candidate for the July 28 presidential elections.

After three days of process in the grassroots ranks of streets, communities, and Bolivar-Chavez Battle Units (UBCH), more than 4,240,032 million militants unitedly proposed the current head of state to run in the elections, the 31st since the beginning of the Revolution 25 years ago.

A commentary published in the PSUV portal highlighted the “wisdom and great capacity to do” of the President, with which he was able to counteract the consequences of the economic blockade and sanctions against the Venezuelan people.

The journalistic work also acknowledged the policy of Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, promoted by the Executive Power, which allowed the strengthening of “relations of friendship and solidarity” with China and Russia.
