Havana, Nov 23 (RHC) The ninth edition of the International Congress 'Advocacy 2022' began this Wednesday at the Havana Convention Palace with the presence of the member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and Prime Minister of the Republic, Manuel Marrero Cruz.

Members of the Organizing Committee of the event, which will be held until the 25th, said in a recent press conference that the event will bring together about a thousand law professionals from the country and the rest of the world, in a space for exchange, learning and updating in the field.

Lilia María Hernández Doejo, president of the National Organization of Collective Law Firms, pointed out that 'Advocacy 2022' is especially relevant because the nation is immersed in the process of legislative reform, which reaches various aspects of the life of society and its relations with the bodies responsible for the administration of justice and the resolution of disputes.

She specified that the meeting has a broad participation of national jurists and about 30 foreign guests from Venezuela, Spain, Colombia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Hernández Doejo considered that the confluence of diverse professional experiences, with a view to the American and European context, is appropriate to accumulate information that enriches the ways of proceeding and providing a better service to the population.

She added that the topics of the presentations also include projections of the practice of law in Cuba related to the commercial and financial branches applied to the forms of non-state management and the emergence of new economic actors. (Source: ACN)
