Cuba concluded its debut at the Beach Wrestling World Series in Monterrey, Mexico (May 13–14) with three gold medals and one silver, securing third place in both men’s and women’s team rankings.
Gold medalists:
Geannis Garzón (80 kg) – Defeated Georgia’s Nika Kentchadze 3-1.
Yaynelis Sanz (60 kg) – Beat Argentina’s Adrianny Castillo 2-1.
Milaimys de la Caridad Marín (+70 kg) – Dominated Argentina’s Linda Machuca 3-0 in under a minute.
Oscar Pino (+90 kg) took silver after falling 0-3 to Georgia’s Mamuka Kordzaia in the final.
